Rehabilitation of Small Raptors
Presenters: Morgan Hapeman, Wildlife Rehabilitator, Finger Lakes Raptor Center and Daena Ford, Raptor Educator, Braddock Bay Research
Learn about the reasons raptors such as screech owls, kestrels, and others need rehabilitation. Hear about typical treatments of these birds, and the requirements rehabilitators follow for release back to their native habitat. At the end of the program, meet a couple of BBRR’s education birds that spent time at the Finger Lakes Raptor Center prior to coming to BBRR and becoming raptor ambassadors.
This in-person Bird of Prey Week program will take place at the Donald Schleiter Lodge at Braddock Bay Park, 199 East Manitou Road. Pre-registration and payment of $5/person is required. Seating is limited to 35 people. Please check in when you arrive and note that face masks must be worn for the entire program. Contact information@bbrr.org with any questions.
