Spring Break Owl Study Program – FULL

*Sorry, this program is now FULL. Please join us another time.**

This program is geared towards families with school aged children, but all are welcome who wish to learn more about owls and their natural environment.  Space is limited and reservations are required. E-mail information@bbrr.org or call 585-267-5483 to reserve your spot. Suggested donation of $4/person.

The Owl Woods at Braddock Bay is well known as a migratory stop-over for Northern Saw-whet and Long-eared Owls. Join an experienced BBRR guide to begin the morning on a search look for roosting owls.  We’ll discover signs of owls and other wildlife, and collect data on how the owls are using the woods. After prowling, an owl pellet study and an encounter with BBRR’s education Great Horned Owl will take place in the outdoor classroom.

Trail is mulched and is easy walking, but can be muddy in spots so wear appropriate footwear. Please note there are no restrooms available.  Suitable for all ages.  Meeting spot is on Manitou Beach Road, just off the Lake Ontario State Parkway. Follow directions for The Owl Woods on our website: https://www.bbrr.org/directions/
